GEORGE HAGOPIAN

George Hagopian is an Armenian that claimed to have seen Noah's Ark two times when he was a little boy around 1900 and 1905. It took Hagopian and his uncle eight days to reach the high grazing areas and glacier of Mt. Ararat from the city of Van. The primary reason to travel to Ararat was a four year drought owing to which sheep were dying in Lake Van area. With a prolonged absence of precipitations the Ark was completely uncovered. They reached it and Hagopian, helped by his uncle, climbed an artificial small staircase up to the roof of Ark.

ED DAVIS

Ed Davis in 1943, was a young Sergent in the Army Corps of Engineers in Hamadan. He befriended a group of Moslems, a family named Abas. He did some     favors for this family and they felt vey indebted to him. So they decided to bring Davis to the sacred Ark on Mt. Ararat Elfred Lee has interviewed Ed Davis for       days, about 15 years after he had interviewed Hagopian. Ed Davis’ account was also reliable and the path to the Ark corresponded exactly to that described by Hagopian. Both arrived from the same direction passing through the same places, namely Abas-Abas village, Jacob's Well, etc.

Also Ed Davis was submitted to the lie dectetor test as well and resulted of his testimony were also accurate.

Davis mentioned Domsday Rock and Camel’s Back. Ahmet Arslan that probably knows Mt. Ararat better that any others known explorer…, says that Doomsday Peak is at the and of Camel’s Back trail, wich he claimed Hagopian used on one of his trip, on the western wall of tha Ahora Gorge. Davis said also that climbed steeply several kms to see the broken pieces of the Ark in a Canyon after going around Doomsday Rock.    Look photo Ed

  VINCE  WILL

from the book THE EXPLORERS OF ARARAT    (B.J. Corbin)

Vince Will , USAF Sergeant,  Stars and Stripes 1943-1945 A.D.?

Vince Will saw a front page Stars and Stripes Ark photograph looking into an opening of the Ark. That's what he saw:- A section of the Ark was sticking out of the snow and ice 40 to 50 feet on a ledge without anything underneath it. The wood was darker than the rocks around it. The wood was pretty good shape. I coudn't see any holes on the top. There was a hole on the right side where you could see different levels and structural beams. I could see two decks through the hole.

HERB KNEE

Veteran USAF

Herb Knee, a real estate agent and former veteran from Murfreesboro - Tennesse, saw a black and white newsreel around the 1950s in Winchester, which showed an older man and a boy climbing on Noah's Ark which the newsreel stated was on Mt. Ararat. Herb said the snow covered most of the Ark. The object was long and rectangular shaped. Herb could not estimate the lenght since it was snow covered but estimated the width at maybe 50 feet and the height at maybe 40 feet. The color of the object was dark gray or blackish. There were rock ledges near the object. Herb stated that it was his opinions that the object was 100% manmade, 100% a boat and 100% Noah's Ark.

GREGOR SCHWINGHAMMER

Gregor Schwinghammer, ex fighter pilot and Captain of U.S. Air Force, flying with his F100 in 1959 around the Ararat,  saw a thing which looked like a large, rectangular barge-like structure sticking out of the side of mountain. (p.421 The Explorers of Ararat by Corbin). He personally declared to me and my colleagues that the Parrot glacier zone reminded him the area of  his sighting and that the object was resting on a side of the mountain. Therefore it was not upon an ice plateau but in a horseshoe shaped depression  (or gully) about 1300 meters from the peak around 3900 meters of quota.

RALPH HAVENS

 Generale U.S. Air Force

In 1985, during a conversation about the Noah's Ark with Elfred Lee, General Havens declared:

"We have seen it. I have seen two slides take by my pilots. They have seen a similar structure on the north side of the Mt. Ararat."

ED BELHING

In 1973 Ed Behling a soldier 23 years old of the U.S. Navy, operated next the Turkey and Iranian border and he became friend of a Kurdish soldier named Mustafà. After five months of friendship, Mustafà talked to Behling about his uncle that knew where the Ark was. Mustafà rarely brought the same Kurdish to the Ark, and they respected him. According to Behling, the elderly ones of the village knew the place of the Ark but the young people did not go without their permission. In that long scaling, Behling suffered the cold and the pains afoot. He was exhauste and hoped that his friend's uncle returned back. Behling was tired, incredulous and perhaps depressed when his dear friend Mustafà pointed out to him a point with his hand. This gesture pushed him to a last effort. He looked down toward the canyon and only around twenty meters down, he saw a kind of enormous black structure. It was broken with a parallelepiped shape, not round as the keel of a ship, but square…

KEVIN HURLEY

Article from Kevin Hurley

reader of Stars and Stripes (?) article about Noah's Ark.

Sketch by Mr. Hurley

Mr. Kevin said: "During the Gulf War 1991 I saw a photo copy of a newspaper with a photograph. The top of the paper was missing so I could not see the title or date on the paper. The photo was black and white and not of great quality. I saw what look like a barge sticking out of ice and snow in a canyon. The roof of the object and the ice was very shiny while the side of the object and the cliff was dark. There may have been 100-150 feet sticking out because about twice the width if it is 75 feet wide....Down the roof was what looked like black dots or windows. The roof stood out due to the straight lines against the dark background...I feel the structure was man-made because there are few straight lines in nature. The lines that show off the edge of the Ark's roof and the windows on the roof were all straight lines...I'm not looking for fame or money, just a person looking to find the Ark and show it to world."
